Government expected to table Rajya Sabha Constitution Amendment Bill today
The Center is likely to table the Constitutional Ordinances (Scheduled Castes and Tribes) (Amendment, 2022) Bill in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.
The Upper House is also likely to conclude the discussion on the functioning of the Ministry of Railways and may initiate a discussion on the functioning of the Ministry of Labor and Employment.
The opposition is likely to raise the issue of rising fuel prices.
Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda will propose that the Bill further amend the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Ordinance 1950 to omit the ‘Bhogta’ community from the list of Scheduled Castes in relation with Jharkhand and the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Ordinance 1950 for the inclusion of certain communities in the lists of Scheduled Tribes against the state, be considered.
Munda will also propose that the bill be passed.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh to make a statement regarding the status of implementation of the recommendations contained in the 353rd Report of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Science and Technology, Environment and Forests and Climate Change on the action taken by the government on the recommendations/observations. contained in its 343rd Report on Grant Applications (2021-22) for the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR).
Minister Rameshwar Teli to table Report of Comptroller and Auditor General of India on ‘Western Offshore Water Injection Operations, ONGC’ – Union Government – Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas – (compliance audit) of 2021.
Union Ministers Ashwini Kumar Chaubey, Arjun Ram Meghwal, SP Singh Baghel, Meenakashi Lekhi and Nitishh Pramanik will file documents related to different ministries.
Reports from various departments related to parliamentary committees will also be tabled in the Rajya Sabha.
